On February 9, 2024, the Joint Graduate Program in Toxicology held its first toxicology trivia event. There were three teams – the NO it Alls (Chelsea Cary, Bri Ames, Andrew Gow), the Endocrine Disruptors (Zakiyah Henry, Kevin Ozkuyumcu, Phoebe Stapleton), and the Really Rottens (Cassie Winz, Sam Adams, Ray Rancourt). The score keeper was Talia Seymore. The judges were Debra and Jeffrey Laskin. And the event was hosted by Lauren Aleksunes. The audience was also able to vote on the answers to the trivia questions. Questions were wide ranging including questions about movies and bands from the 1990s to obscure facts about snake venoms. In the end, the Endocrine Disruptors came out on top!!  This event was held as part of the recruitment of incoming graduate students for the 2024-2025 academic year.  For more fun trivia, the program will be supporting two of its students – Joanna Woo and winner Zakiyah Henry – at the Tox ShowDown at the 63^rd Annual Meeting of the Society of Toxicology in Salt Late City, UT in March 2024.
