OBJECTIVES

  1. Describe current trends in the epidemiology of occupational asthma nationwide and New Jersey.
  2. List several chemical hazards that may lead to the development of occupational asthma in healthcare workers.
  3. Discuss the types of interventions for eliminating or reducing exposure to allergens in the workplace.

Target Audience:: Environmental and/or occupational medicine practitioners, community health workers, industrial hygienists, researchers, students of air pollution health effects and to others in the field of environmental and occupational safety and health. Occupational Physicians, Nurses, Industrial Hygienists, fellows, residents, medical students and environmental exposure scientists.
