Dr. Paul Lioy, EOHSI’s Exposure Science Division Director, joined a delegation of scientists from the United States to visit the University of Brescia, Italy for a research plan on the health effects of pollution.

Grounded on the Memorandum of Understanding signed early April this year with Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York, the visit on 28th  and 29th October 2013 of a representative of American physicians and academics at the University of Brescia will hopefully lead to a superfund grant proposal to the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences for research on urban areas typical for high environmental pollution, its impact on health and possible preventive measures.
