Paul J. Lioy, Ph.D.

He is co-chair of the New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness College and on the Executive Committee of the University Center for Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Response (UCDPER). Dr. Lioy was on the Executive Committee of the NNJ-NY National Children’s Study Center Consortium.
Currently, he is a member of the US EPA Science Advisory Board, Associate Editor for Feature Articles of the Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology, and is an Associate Editor of the Journal Environmental Health Perspectives.
He was the Vice-Chair of the NRC Committee on “Exposure Science in the 21st Century.” Dr. Lioy has received two lifetime achievement awards; The Wesolowski Award from the International Society of Exposure Analysis, and the Frank Chambers Award from the Air and Waste Management Association, and the Mentoring Award from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, 2006. In 2008, he was named the Rutgers Graduate School Distinguished Alumni for Science, Mathematics and Engineering, and then received the Daughters of the American Revolution, Ellen Hardin Walworth national medal for Patriotism in 2009. In 2012 he received a community service award from the the Cranford Chamber of Commerce that was formally acknowledged by the state of Nj, Union Couty and the Township of Cranford, Since 2002, he has been an Information Science Institute Highly Cited Scientist for the category: Ecology/Environment
