Often, the image of a scientist is of a man in a long white coat hunched over a microscope examining slides or standing in a lab placing drops in test tubes. They speak in formulas, or even Latin and other languages foreign to most of society.

While the public may not fully understand what scientists do or say, their discoveries have altered the course of medicine and human health, extending our lives and easing our pains. Through , we invite you to learn more about science and the men and women who practice this profession.

Scientists have assisted in all phases of , including developing and implementing strategies to increase interactions between scientists and teachers/students.
