(EOHSI)
The Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (EOHSI)
sponsors research, education and service programs in a setting that
facilitates interaction among experts in the areas of environmental
health, toxicology, occupational health, exposure assessment, public
policy and health education.
EOHSI’s objectives are to improve understanding of the environment and
its impact on individual and societal health; increase the ability to
objectively recognize, evaluate and prevent risks to human health and
the environment; develop and translate scientific information for
effective decision making; develop methods to find and treat people
adversely affected by environmental agents; train professionals to
accomplish these tasks.
EOHSI is recognized as one of a select number of national centers of
