Students undertake a safety-proofing project, developing problem solving skills and identifying potential hazards in their homes, schools, and communities. Emphasis is on identifying situations in the environment that result in health risks and risk-taking behavior.

Sam's Safety Star Award (15 min.)

Sam the TV Camera learns that risks are part of everyday activities, including crossing the street, riding on a bicycle or in a car and swimming. Sam learns to look and think carefully before he acts.
