Distribution of Eosinophils in Asthma after Reslizumab (DEAR)
Healthy participants with no history of asthma needed for study about PET/CT imaging and its ability to detect inflammatory lung processes
Title of Study: Distribution of Eosinophils in Asthma after Reslizumab (DEAR). A 7 week, placebo-controlled , double-blind, parallel-group imaging study using Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography (PET/CT) to characterize the effect of intravenous Reslizumab on airway inflammation in patients with eosinophilic asthma
Principal Investigator: Dr. Reynold A. Panettieri, Jr
Purpose: To study the effects of room air cleaners on concentrations of indoor air pollutants and health effects.
Who Participates: Healthy participants with no history of asthma for study about PET/CT imaging and its ability to detect inflammatory lung processes.
Dr. Reynold Panettieri at the Rutgers Institute for Translational Medicine & Science is conducting a study about PET/CT imaging and its ability to detect inflammatory lung processes. We are seeking healthy adults (18 to 50 years of age) who have no history of asthma. The study involves a physical examination, blood collection, a finger stick, ECG, a breathing test, questionnaire and two PET/CT scans. The visits will take place at the Clinical Research Center at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. The participation is over three visits. The visits should take four and half hours. Volunteers will receive $250 per visit plus travel expenses.
