Howard Kipen, M.D., MPH



Dr. Kipen is a Professor and Chief of the Clinical Research and Occupational Medicine Division in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. He is the Governor's Appointee to the Public Employees Occupational Health and Safety Review Board, New Jersey Department of Labor and is past president of the Occupational and Environmental Medicine Association of New Jersey. He is also a member of the Advisory Panel on Occupational Disease Surveillance, Occupational Health Service of the New Jersey Department of Health. In addition, he has served on or chaired multiple Institute of Medicine Committees and the Persian Gulf Expert Scientific Committee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He holds research grants from the US Environmental Protection Agency and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences.
