At the Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute

The purpose of the research effort at the Exposure Measurement & Assessment Division of EOHSI is the quantitative estimation of human exposure and of potential and internal dose to toxic environmental chemicals and the development/evaluation of control strategies for reducing this exposure. This is accomplished, on one hand, via field and laboratory measurements and, on the other hand, through mathematical mechanistic analysis and computer simulation of the fundamental processes determining transport, physical and chemical transformation, and accumulation or removal in multimedia environments and in biological organisms.
