A Comprehensive Range of ServicesThe personalized approach of the Clinical Center for Environmental and Occupational Health differs from other facilities that depend on a standardized, high-volume approach. Services range from medical evaluations to the creation of employee assistance programs. An increasing emphasis has been placed on health and productivity which is related to ergonomics - a new frontier for occupational medicine, which concerns the interaction between employees and their physical environment such as VDT's, chairs, lighting, and hand movements. Investigation of the association of these factors with health problems is an area in which we excel. The Clinical Center for Environmental and Occupational Health takes a pro-active approach to occupational health, stressing prevention, finding the underlying causes of problems and recommending innovative, cost-effective solutions. With expertise that is both broad and deep, the Center is equipped to tackle the most difficult to diagnose occupational and environmental exposure problems, as well as more common ailments and required examinations for Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) compliance.
