Personal Care Product Survey

What Personal Care Products RU Using?

People use a variety of personal care products every day, including soap, toothpaste, shampoo, and cosmetics. Each product typically contains several ingredients. There is increasing concern about the possible impacts of these chemicals on our health. To better understand these concerns, Dr. Emily Barrett and Dr. Adana Llanos Wilson are conducting a study to learn about the use of personal care products in the Rutgers community. Anyone who is 18 years of age or older and a student, staff, or faculty member at Rutgers is invited to participate.

What does the study involve?

  • First, you would complete a short questionnaire to see if you are eligible to participate in the survey.
  • Next, you would complete an online survey about the use of personal care products. The survey will take about 20-30 minutes. The survey asks specific details (complete item name on the label) of the products you use. The best way to complete it is at home, with all your products in front of you. Otherwise, you can take pictures of each product and fill in the names from the pictures.
  • Finally (optional), you would provide contact information to enter a raffle to win a $100 Amazon gift card. 100 gift cards will be raffled.
