2015 THED High School Summer Program Takes Off

EOHSI hosted the 2015 Toxicology, Health & Environmental Disease (THED) High School Summer Program during the weeks of July 20-24 and July 27-31, 2015. THED is a highly intensive and integrated program for high school students interested in the biomedical and environmental sciences, entering the 10th, 11th or 12th grade.

THED students gets hands-on laboratory experience.

These students participated in a variety of laboratory activities such as experimental design, DNA isolation, PCR, cell culture, gel electrophoresis, enzyme activity measurement, and microscope slide staining, followed by a final formal presentation. In addition, THED program offered discussions about career options in medicine, pharmacy, toxicology, environmental science, and research.
